Our mission is to conserve the natural habitats of the Mesima river mouth and promote an environmental culture based on knowledge, participation, and respect.
Every activity – from scientific research to guided tours – is driven by a single purpose: to mend the bond between people and nature.

Together with the WWF Vibo Valentia – Stilaro Valley, they carry out daily work focused on conservation, education, and community engagement.

In 2016, biologist Jasmine De Marco began studying the Mesima river mouth area.Her scientific observations revealed the presence of rare habitats, protected plants, and migratory species.
This was a time of initial surveys, site visits, and dialogues with the WWF and institutions: the idea of a protected area that could restore dignity to a forgotten landscape was born.
Thanks to the joint efforts of WWF Vibo Valentia – Vallata dello Stilaro, Councilor Ferdinando Laghi, the Regional Administration, and a network of active citizens, the proposal to officially establish a nature reserve takes shape.
After years of meetings, documentation, and commitment, on December 16, 2022, Regional Law No. 47 is passed, establishing the “Foce del Fiume Mesima” Regional Nature Reserve.
A milestone that becomes a starting point: from a place to protect, the Mesima becomes a place to experience.
Today, the Reserve is a living organism.Research, environmental education, and sustainable tourism activities engage schools, universities, and citizens.
Thanks to the work of Jasmine, Guglielmo, and the WWF team, the Mesima river mouth is once again becoming a meeting place for nature and community, where respect becomes a daily practice and knowledge transforms into care.
